More than Words July Challenge

It has been an absolute age since I last posted anything.  I have been scrapbooking, but lost the confidence and oomph to join in challenges and publish stuff on the web.  But finally getting back to it on the basis of having fun again! Anyway, had a perfect couple of photos and layout in mind for the More than Words challenge this month.

Here it is, another photo from Torquay Beach, with Claire this time.  I had lots of fun embellishing this one, adding beads, muslin and the gold glitter star,  there are two real shells - a scallop and a piece of paua.. really pleased how it turned out.

D-lish Scraps October Challenge

Here is my take on the October mood board below at D-lish Scraps

When I found the Project Life card in my stash, I thought "perfect!", and I love the wood veneer owl!

October Kraft + Challenge

Here is my entry for the I can see clearly now Kraft+ October Challenge.  I found some pretty old Fancy Pants glitter cuts, and an even older clear epoxy tag that I can't remember where it was from.
I love this photo of my daughter at Torquay Beach - she really loved the sea and the sand...I'm not sure my layout does the photo justice, one day I might have another go at it!

More than Words September Challenge

I saw this challenge at More than Words and knew I had a couple of photos that would fit! Thanks so much for the inspiration, I really enjoyed doing this layout.
The layout is of my very brave daughter doing the vertical slide at the old Science Alive in Christchurch.  She was not quite 9 at the time.  I was a little terrified, truth be told, as I am not keen on heights!

Next one...Scrap Our Stash

I love Scrap Our Stash, because I have so much stuff I really should use up!  I also love a tic-tac-toe challenge so could resist having a go at this one...
April Tic Tac Toe Stash Challenge

I used the colour yellow, flowers and chevron paper on my layout.

I kept it simple, as the multiple photos are quite small and difficult to see, but I really wanted to tell the story!  The layout also coincidentally looks a little similar to the sketch for the month!

Where did the months go?

I seemed to get a bit bogged down at the beginning of this year.  I feel that I am starting to pick myself out of the mire now and have finally managed to do a couple of challenges.  This first one for the April 123 Challenge I am particularly happy with.
If you can't read the little lettering, it says "I just want to take a photo!".  After being quite a good poser for years, I think my daughter finally got sick of modelling!

Kraft + October challenge

Managed to get another one finished today... for the October Kraft + challenge.

I have used some very old Basic Grey paper (underneath the Going Walkabout), some old MME papers and some buttons.  Cut the cartoon like speech bubble on a friend's Silhouette.

There is some hidden journalling under photo with the "take note" card - basically about me insisting we get out of the house for a walk and my daughter not wanting to go!
