Scrap The Girls September Challenge.

Spent Sunday afternoon at the Wellington Paper Arts show, and got some inspiration to start scrapbooking again.  Just managed to get a layout done for the Scrap the Girls September challenge.  Based on the lovely sketch below and the beautiful layouts from the design team.

Here is my take...

I have used a lot of the colours in Abi's duvet cover with glimmer mists and the little flowers from the Paper Arts show.  I love the fact that both my girls have been good readers, and it really shows in their school results as well.  There is nothing like a good book!

Scrap The Girls July Challenge

Another challenge I managed to get done in the holidays was the beautiful sketch at Scrap the Girls

Here is my take on it...

Stash Challenge #28

Stash Challenge #28

Scrap our Stash July Challenge

I came across this site recently Scrap Our Stash and love the idea of using items from my ever increasing stash.  So as we have just had school holidays I got one of the July challenges done... the idea is to use items from your stash starting with the letters from the word P-H-O-T-O-S.
Here is the result...

I have used:-

P - paisley, pink, pearl
H - hessian
O - organza flowers
T - Teal High Heal Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist
O - orange mesh
S - stamp, stickers

I have had the K&Co paisley stickers and Prima journalling tag in my stash for a long time!

123 Challenge

Thought I'd have a go at the 123 Challenge inspiration board this month...

Here is my take...

I have used some old pink grid paper, think it came in a cheap pack from The Warehouse, but it works here.  The stamp is Stampin' Up "Off the Grid", have been using it a bit lately! The pink heart and plastic square is an old toy clipboard of the girls that I kept 'cause I thought I might use it some day, and I have!

Distracted...

Haven't been scrapping at all until last week as we have a new addition to the family...

Her name is Maisie, and she is very sweet, but also very curious.  This is a picture of her when we first got her from the SPCA at the beginning of January.  She is now much bigger, but just as interested in my scrapbooking stuff, especially my paper roses and twine...

However, I finally got a layout done, one which I have been meaning to do for a while that is part of my 8 x 8 album about me...

I've included a lot of journalling in this one, behind the doily which I've kind of hinged on the chipboard piece...

I am quite happy with the way it has turned out!

CSI Major Case file

Here is my layout for CSI Major case file for January - unfortunately I got my timing wrong - thought today was the 31 January for some reason - too much on this weekend - anyway thought I'd put it up anyway!

My photo of the layout isn't great, it is finally raining here at the moment.  It was based on this

I used a cupcake, something fuzzy (the green ribbon), texture paste, sprinkled stars and handwritten journalling.

White...with 1/Sketchabilities January Challenge

As my girls love blue, thought I should definitely create something for the January challenge at White...with 1  combined with the lovely Sketchabilities sketch.
[ww1-placid-blue4.jpg]
sketchabilities Jan sketch in collab with ww1.

So here it is ... White with Placid Blue...

I used some scraps of paper, embroidery floss, AC thickers, doily, Stampin' Up stamps and punch, bling, and a Becky Higgins Project Life photo overlay.  The hearts are made from Stampin' Up pressed clay and a mould from the cake decorating section of Pete's Emporium.

Happy New Year all!
